Amy Duran — who spent 7 years with Broadway — will be the conductor the 7:30 show about the story of creation. Music Theater Studies Director and acclaimed Broadway star is directing the show.

The Harrington Park pianist has performed as a substitute for numerous musicians and as assistant conductor in dozens of Broadway and professional orchestras.

“It’s a very difficult show to produce,” Duran said. “[Dalio] is always thinking of how to cast a show, and how to use the kids’ talents. It covers jazz, gospel, and a variety of music genres.”

“Children of Eden” never made it to full production on the Broadway stage, but it covers the story in a way that is appropriate for people of all backgrounds, Duran said.

"It is something that Dalio always wanted to do," Duran said of the show.

Proceeds from the program will benefit St. Andrew Church's outreach charities and the New Jersey City University Music Scholarship Fund.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
